Facial Warts Treatment

Treatments For Facial Warts

No matter what we do or what we are even up to, one thing is for sure. The fact remains that our faces would unfailingly reveal the true contents of our mind. A clean untarnished face speaks a lot for the person who holds it. Besides, whoever is unaware of the fact that a lovely face can launch a thousand triumphs when things look bleak and dreary for the run of the mill?

However, we are not the sole masters of our face and sometimes the most charming face tends to lose its charm when facial warts suddenly appear to tarnish the beauty. The worst part of the whole story is that the facial warts affect the young at a time when they are mostly judged by their face value.
To begin with, facial warts may form due to a viral infection (human papilloma virus or HPV) and it can also happen through one of nature's own freaks. Also, these warts disappear as frequently as they appear, to the consternation of the host. Facial warts usually begin as small raised bumps on the soft facial skin.

These bumps may range in color from pink to red or often yellowish, though at times, a wart may also appear as a dark dot on the face. Facial warts are sometimes mistaken as pimples as well. Since they are not associated with intense pain or other complications, people usually are less bothered by warts, except of course from the cosmetic point of view. Facial warts are removed in a number of ways. Such as cryotherapy, electrosurgery, keratolytics, bleomycin, hypnosis, X-ray therapy, laser therapy, interferon, retinoids and antiviral agent.

Immunotherapy has several advantages like the option of bringing many lesions at a time under treatment as also controlling the frequency of relapsing warts. It starts by sensitizing, which is followed by weekly maintenance course of 0.001% to 1% DPCP in acetone on the facial warts till a mild form of contact dermatitis is achieved. As an immediate result, all of the facial warts would become inflamed and resolved. Today there are good remedies for facial warts and many of them are natural solutions that are safe, effective, painless and gives quick results.

Facial warts can make any beautiful person feel very unattractive at that time. It is important that you find some form of treatment to reduce the signs of your warts or to remove them completely, which is what most people would hope for anyway. Check out some books at your library or continue doing more research on the internet, to ensure that you know more about warts so that you will know how to treat them if they ever appear on your body.

Warts of all types can be very irritating, not necessarily because of feeling them on your skin but just because of the looks of them. Most people associate warts with some sort of yucky disease or something like that and that is simply not always the case at all. Anyone can get warts and anyone can treat them as well. Do not continue letting yours bother you or make you feel bad about yourself, do something about your warts today, so you too can feel better when you look into the mirror.

Wart and Mole Remover

Topical Treatments For Different Types Of Warts

Are you sexual active? Are you worried that you run a huge risk of contacting genital warts? Have you already got the dreaded news from your doctor or physician that you already have genital warts? Well, if you are a person that falls into any one of these categories, then you had better listen up. There is no way to break it softly to you, so I will just come right out and say it.

Genital warts are caused by the HPV virus, and there is no cure. Yes I said it, "there is no cure". There are however, some remedies and treatments you can use that will reduce the risk and could eventually clear up the genital warts. It will not be a "quick fix". It will be a tedious process that could only provide help on getting rid of those "disgusting and embarrassing" warts over time.

Thousands of people are resorting to Topical Treatments before they take the plunge on medical treatments. These can be applied by yourself and usually at home. Now this goes without saying that they may or may not work for you. Also, not just one treatment will work at one time. It is up to you to experiment over time with various treatments:

Garlic Oil is just another topical treatment that is widely promoted and used for clearing up genital warts. More importantly it is said that raw garlic is supposed to stimulate the white blood cell's ability to fight infection. Tea Tree Oil is just strong aromatherapy oil. It is an essential oil that contains an abundance of anti-viral as well as anti-bacterial ingredients that are used to fight infections.

You must take in the fact that these topical treatments for genital warts have not been clinically proven. You should not think they are clinically effective treatments for genital warts. These treatments have shown through numerous studies that they contain benefits that are necessary and widely used in preventing, reducing, and fighting off viral infections.

Your diagnosis, lifestyle, and stress will play huge factors in determining what will and will not work for you. Because one treatment is said to have worked on genital warts before does not necessarily mean it will work 100% for you. Your best bet is to get a diagnosis from a doctor or physician. Let the professionals have a look at your situation first.

After all is said and done, inquire about these treatments and get a clinical opinion. After all, if you already have genital warts then there really is not anything to lose, only everything to gain from that point. If you are looking to treat yourself or experiment a little to see if these treatments can or will work on your genital warts, there has been no studies that suggest that these topical treatments have shown any dangers, harm, or side effects.

But, remember that these are researched remedies past on from people to people and clinical proven effective treatments. Warts of all sorts can be bothersome, so do not feel bad if you are now wondering how to treat some sort of warts that you have discovered.

What Causes Warts

Detecting Warts On Your Pet

We all know that people can get warts, but what about your family pet? Believe it or not your dog can most certainly get warts.Certain viruses are most definitely able to cause the growth of small round skin tumors that are mostly referred to as warts. We can find many different ways to see what a wart looks like.

You can see pictures of different warts by looking at different Internet sites,or you can go to the library and get information and pictures of different types of warts.Like people pets can develop small round shaped skin growths that many of us assume are basically harmless on a human so it would be harmless for your dog. That is not necessarily true. In reality there are many types of round skin growths that can be hard to detect because they are so small.

It is very important that your pet have them examined by the vet. Such growths that are the shape of a small round skin growth may not be innocuous viral warts. Most growths that can develop on your skin must be removed from your skin and a biopsy may have to be done so that the type of wart you have can be identified.Dogs can get the wart called viral warts, but on a dog the wart will not be from the same virus that can cause human warts.

Dogs cannot get a wart from people and of course people cannot get a wart from the dog. When we are dealing with a dog we do not call these growths "warts", We use the most formal term that is called "viral papilloma.
These are benign skin tumors that are caused by the canine oral papillomavirus. These papillomas are round but will often have a rough surface that is similar to a sea anemone or a cauliflower.

These will usually appear on a young dogs lips and muzzle. This is usually in dogs that are 2 years or younger. These warts will also occur in groups rather than as a single growth. This infection is transmitted with the papillomas on an infected dog.The incubation period in your dog is 1-2 months. This virus can only be spread among dogs.It is actually not contagious to humans or other pets you may have.

For a dog to become infected, the dog will most likely have an immature immune system. This is why the infected wart will appear on a younger dog.We do not know at this time if the dog that is infected must actually show visible lesions for the warts to be contagious. So since your dog cannot tell you he has something that is bothering him remember what you have studied on warts so you can help your dog when they may occur on him.

Warts can be very bothersome to animals, so if you do suspect your animal has warts, take them to the vet and get it checked out. The warts can be treated and your pet will be much better off thanks to your loving care.

Mole Wart Removal

Different Things About Warts That You Might Not Have Known

Plantar warts are common, contagious skin growths that appear on the bottoms of your feet. They're caused by a virus and although they can be painful, they're harmless. You can catch a wart from almost any surface, such as the tile floors of locker rooms, showers, even carpets--anywhere someone who already has warts has stepped and left the virus.

Any tiny cut on the outer surface of your foot's skin (epidermis) could be an entry point. Plantar warts often appear flat, but grow inward toward the dermis (second layer) of the skin, which can be painful. Pain or a lump on the bottom of your foot is the first sign (it may feel like a stone is in your shoe); walking may aggravate the sensation. Apply salicylic acid to warts daily.

Doing so will help remove infected skin and keep the virus from spreading elsewhere. Use a liquid- or bandage-formula over-the-counter wart remover with at least 40 percent salicylic acid. Try Dr. Scholl's Clear Away Plantar Wart Remover. If an at-home treatment doesn't remedy your plantar warts after two months of dedicated use, a dermatologist can help.

"It's common practice to freeze warts with liquid nitrogen in a procedure that destroys the infected skin," explains Sandra Johnson, M.D., a dermatologist in Dublin, Ohio. * The bottom line You'll probably come in contact with the virus at some point, but you can prevent warts with good hygiene and, luckily, getting rid of existing ones is relatively easy.

If it wasn't chance, one would need to treat 10 children with duct tape for 6 weeks to remove 1 wart. In 81%, the duct tape would not stick; 32% used extra fixative. A small, flawed study (Arch Pediatr Adol Med 2002; 156:975-977) found duct tape as effective as cryotherapy.
The corn pad was placed overnight, with once-weekly soaks and pumice rubs. Assessment was blinded. The wart disappeared in 16% of the treatment group and 6% of the placebo group. This difference had a 12% probability of being chance, but the power to detect the difference was under 30%.

Warts are very bothersome and do not look very attractive either, so doing something to get rid of them is so very important for some. It is important to know which type of wart you have before deciding which treatment option that you will be purchasing. There are different types of medication for different types of warts.

Warts do not make you nasty or ugly, they can be treated usually so there really is no reason for panic. It is important for you to pay close attention to any markings on your skin to ensure that you are taking the proper steps for treatment, instead of wasting your time and money.

Treating spots that end up not being warts is just a waste of your precious time. Take notice of just what type of wart you are infected with, choose your path of treatment and begin noticing the difference in your warts as they slowly go away.

Get Rid of Warts

Different Signs Of Certain Warts

Do you have single or multiple cauliflower-like bumps in the areas of vagina, cervix, vulva, penis or the rectum? Are those signs soft, moist or flesh-colored? If you have this kind of peculiarities, then it is the time to talk to a dermatologist as soon as possible; chances are you might be infected with the HPV. HPV or the Human papillomavirus is very much instrumental for most of the sexually transmitted diseases (STI) in the world.

There are at most 100 kinds of HPV of which only 30 are spread by the sexual contacts. If the warts are not properly cured, the outcome could be drastic. The HPV causes the genital warts with barely any symptom, but just do not get worried. The genital warts, if diagnosed in time, can be curable without any tension so far. The diagnosis is very simple and concise; it involves using the acetic acid to the infected area.

The solution makes the infected area white. The wart becomes visible. Now, it is easier for the health care provider to take a sample tissue from the contaminated zone. That tissue will be further examined under a microscope. Therefore, the examiner can be certain to determine whether it has a cancerous form or not. There is, obviously, no specific treatment for the warts.

Those infections come naturally and fade out naturally after certain period, but sometimes the infection does not go away. For such circumstances, it is advisable for you seek the help of a dermatologist. On the basis of the intensity of this virus the doctor will prescribe several medicines including Imiquimod cream, podophyllin antimitotic solution, podofilox solution, 5-fluorouracil cream and trichloroacetic acid.
Podophyllin antimitotic solution, 5-fluorouracil cream or the podofilox solutions are strictly prohibited in times of pregnancy, since there might be the chances that the skin might absorb the solutions which might cause birth defects in your baby. Three kinds of known treatments are there: Freezing the warts by the liquid nitrogen, burning the warts by the electronic needle and Laser treatment.

Now it is up to your consent and on your health adviser, which process you will opt for. Sometimes the physician will inject the antiviral drug alpha interferon to the warts-affected area. It is a traditional approach and those who can not afford to buy expensive drug, this method is good for them. Warts are common and many people suffer from them from time to time. Knowing which treatment is best for you is very important, so make sure that you do your homework.

Warts do not have to bother you so terribly, do something about them today to try and get rid of them for good. There is no reason to just ignore them, not if they bother you that terribly. Find a cream or ointment to treat your warts or talk with your doctor about other treatment options for the warts you have noticed on your body. They will be able to tell you a lot more about warts, so make sure you ask questions.

Genital Warts Cure

Things you should know about genital warts.

Genital warts are usually found around or on the penis or vagina. They are pink or red growths found around the genital areas. They can be spread to other parts of the body as well as other people by contact with the infected places. Genital warts vary in size from barely noticeable to the size of large pimples. They often appear in groups of three or four and may grow and spread rapidly. Sometimes mild pain, itching, and bleeding can occur.

Genital warts are caused by a virus that is called HPV. This is also know as Human Papilloma Virus. This virus is a sexually transmitted disease. If you find out that you have HPV do not be too upset. Over half of middle-aged America has some evidence of being infected. In most cases genital warts will go away on their own, but as there is no cure for HPV they could come back. Usually people that are infected wait to see if they spread or go away on their own. If they spread then there are many treatments options to get rid of genital warts.

As long as genital warts are present you should not have sex. If you do you should always wear a codom. Warts can easily be passed on when they are present. They are consider contagious when they are present. Some warts can be passed on even if you wear a condom. You are taking a risk either way. You just want to take every step there is to take when having safe sex and portecting the person you are with, because you do not want to give something to anyone.

Certain types of HPV are known to cause cervical cancer, anal cancer, vulvular cancer, and cancer of the penis. Though rare, if you are a woman then a simple Pap test will detect any abnormal cervical cells. If you believe or know that you have genital warts it’s a good idea to see your doctor for regular checkups so any abnormal growths can be treated early.

There are a few ways to get rid of them depending on how you want to go about doing so. Regardless of which method you choose, you MUST see your doctor first. Ask your doctor to prescribe you a topical medication to take home so you don’t have to feel awkward having a stranger perform the application.

These are the different types of ways to get rid of warts. There is cryothreapy, it is where they are frozen off. Then you have electrocautery. This is where they are burned off with electricity. Then there is laser surgery. This is where they are burned off with a high-intensity laser. And finally we have surgical excision. This is where they are cut out. These all can be very painful. They will give you something for the pain. All of these procedures can leave scars, and may be very painful depending on the warts location so choose carefully.

How Can You Get Rid of Warts ?

Warts are very common. In fact virtually everyone will experience them at some point in their life. They are very contagious and are spread by person to person contact. And although they are painless, unless they are on the soles of your feet, their dark appearance can be felt to be unsightly. But the good news is that warts are harmless enough and normally disappear by themselves within a couple of years.

Although treatment is not needed for most warts, and the wart itself will clear up in time, some people do feel the need to remove these unsightly growths. Plus, one of the other reasons people get them treated is because treatment helps to prevent warts from spreading to other parts of your body and also to other people. There are various types of treatment, and they generally involve the physical or chemical destruction of the lesion. Medical professionals have differing treatments they can offer, and these include Keratolysis which is removal of dead surface skin cells usually using salicylic acid, blistering agents, immune system modifiers or formaldehyde.

Over-the-counter medications can remove warts. These are applied to the wart every day for several weeks. DO NOT use these medications on your face or genitals. It helps to file the wart down when damp (for example, after a bath or shower) before applying these medications. There are many options you can use to remove warts. Over the counter and going to your doctor. It is up to you on how you want to go about getting them removed.

Interestingly, placing duct tape over a wart may help it disappear. A small study had people wear duct tape for six straight days, remove it, wet and scrape the wart down using a file, and then reapply the tape the next morning. This was done until the wart disappeared, for no longer than two months. The people wearing the duct tape had as much luck getting rid of the warts as those who had warts frozen off by a doctor. This method might be worth a try if you have a painless, yet unsightly wart. If there is pain there, you may not want to try the duct tape. You may want to wait until you have gone to seen a doctor about it. Because if there is pain there, it could be infected or something else. You need to contact a doctor to be on the safe side.

So, whilst warts are very common and most people will experience them at some point in their lifetime, and they are caused by a viral infection they are generally harmless and will disappear in a couple of years. And even though warts are actually benign tumour's of the epidermis caused by a virus it is nothing to worry about. And bear in mind that warts are highly contagious, and if you do get one it has probably been transmitted from person-to-person contact.

Genital Warts Treatment

Informative Information Regarding Warts Of All Types

As a small rough tumor, the warts can occur mainly in hands and feet. It is the skin infection by a virus known as HPV or the human papilloma virus. Studies have shown that this common virus, on the hands or the feet, can infect three out of four persons. The warts simply stay for months or year and disappear naturally, but in some cases, they develop cancer.

It is advisable to wash the hands after touching the warts. There are some remedies for the warts removal, though sometimes the home remedies can be there too. Keratolysis Treatment: Salicylic acid is required to be given to the area affected by the warts. You can get the Salicylic acid in the drugstore or in the supermarkets in two forms: adhesive pads concentrated with the Salicylic acid and bottle of liquid Salicylic acid.

Wash the wart-affected area properly with a medicated cleansing solution, rub the area with a pumice stone or the emery board, and then apply the Salicylic acid. It would take nearly 12 weeks for any solid wart to disappear. Cryosurgery or the Cryotherapy: This treatment consists of freezing the warts by the liquid nitrogen; the wart and the surrounding dead skin will fall off easily.

Laser Treatment: When all other treatments turn out to be ineffective in removing the warts, doctor might use laser; the whole process is quite painful and it would leave scar on your skin, too. Imiquimod: A soft and topical cream, known as Aldara, is applied on the warts. This will create interferon production that will enhance the body immunity system to ward off the warts.

However, it has some side effects also like the redness and irritation to the skin. Candida Injections: The body immunity system can be raised by injecting the Candida solution. The body will then fight off the warts. Chemical Treatment: Cantharidin is a popularly known chemical to be used in the warts area; the warts will be blistered. After that, the doctor, at his next visit, will remove the dead skin totally.

A home remedy: Duct tape occlusion therapy or the usage of the Duct tape to remove the warts is another effective way. You can get the Duct Tape in the drugstores and it is found to be a successful removal treatment. Studies show that some use banana skin, vinegar, hot water and washing liquid, aerosol sprays, tea tree oil, potatoes or cauliflower juice in the warts effected area.

Genital warts have no bindings on sex but women are the major victims suffering from this problem. In males the genital warts are quite visible around the penis but in the females they circle even in the inner layer of the vagina and thus become difficult to detect. And the warts get hidden in these layers. The virus spread faster in the warmth of the area and if the woman is an infection carrier, she can outspread the disease easily to her partner's body.

Genital Warts

How To Tell If You Have Venereal Warts

Venereal warts are similar to other warts. They may be flat or raised, single or multiple. They are often painless and can be very small,so many times they will actually go unnoticed, which increases the risk of spreading the infection to others. On another point of view they may be large and you can easily notice the warts. In woman, venereal warts will often develop on the outer part of the vagina ("vulva"), inside the vagina,on the cervix,or on or near the anus.

Woman who have internal warts (vaginal, anal,or cervical) sometimes will notice a burning sensation or a change in their vaginal discharge. In men, venereal warts usually will erupt on the penis, but they may also show up around the anus or inside the urine tube ("urethra"). When it comes to infection of the urethra it may cause bleeding, discharge, and you will often feel as if you have to urinate more then usual.

Venereal warts are also called "genital warts," and medically speaking they are known as "condom" from the Greek for "knob,". In recent years these sexually transmitted bumps have become a common sexually transmitted disease, particularly among the young adults. About one million Americans develop venereal warts each year.Venereal warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV).

While the may look similar to the warts that have developed on the hands, feet,or other parts of your body,HPV warts are more serious in woman, some strains have been associated with a high risk of cervical cancer. These warts are spread only through sexual contact and will usually start to appear two to three months after you are exposed to a person who is infected with them. These are very common and most people are not even aware that they have this.

The best way to deal with with venereal warts is to prevent them.Make sure that you know as much as you can about your partner before becoming intimate. If you do notice odd-looking bumps around their genitals, encourage them for your safety and theirs to get medical help.Sexual partners of those who have been diagnosed with HPV should be checked for signs of the virus. Talk to your doctor today if you have any of these concerns, it is really important that you do so.

Men may do this at home by wrapping the penis and scrotum in gauze or cloth soaked in white vinegar for about five minutes and then looking for any areas that turn white,in which case they should consult a doctor who has experience dealing with sexually transmitted diseases. One last thing men and woman should know, condoms usually prevent transmission of venereal warts.Use them.

Research warts further on the internet or go to your local library and check out some informative books so that you can make sure that you remain healthy. Your health should be very important to you and if you are worried about anything regarding your wellness, please make a doctors appointment today, just for the peace of mind.

HPV Virus

HPV Virus - What are warts ?

Warts are non-cancerous skin growths caused by a viral infection in the top layer of the skin or mucous membranes. Viruses that cause warts belong to a "family" called human papillomavirus (HPV). The appearance of a wart depends on where it is growing. Warts are usually skin colored and feel rough to the touch, but can be dark, flat or smooth.

There are several different types of warts. The first one I am going to tell you about is called common warts. Common warts grows around the nails, on the fingers and on the backs of the hands. They are more common where skin has been broken, for example where fingernails are bitten or hangnails picked.

The second type of warts are foot warts. Foot warts are usually on the sole of the feet and they are called plantar warts. When plantar warts grow in clusters they are known as mosaic warts. Most plantar warts do not stick up because the pressure of walking flattens them and pushes them back into the skin. These warts often have black dots that are actually blood vessels.

The third type of warts are called flat warts. Flat warts are smaller and smoother than other types of warts. They tend to grown in great numbers. They can grow from twenty to one hunder at any one time. They can occur anywhere, but in children they are most common on the face. In adults they are often found in the beard area in men and on the legs in women. Irritation from shaving probably accounts for this.

Many people can get warts and not even know they are there. It just depends on what kind of warts you come in contact with. Some warts can be painful and even cause burning just depending on where they are located at on your body.

Warts probably are passed from person to person, sometimes indirectly. The time between the first contact and the time that the warts can be seen is often several months. The risk of catching hand, foot and flat warts is small. Wearing shower thongs, taking proper care of hands and feet can limit the spread of warts. Genital warts seem to be more contagious. It is important to use precautions to limit the spread of genital warts.

Some people will get parts and some will not get them. It just depends on how they come in contact with them. If you do come in contact with warts heres how you can get rid of them. Warts often disappear without treatment over a period of several months to years. However, since warts can be spread to others or new areas of the body, it is reasonable to treat most people, especially if the warts are bothersome or painful.

Some people will get them burned off with aicd or being froze off it. These methods both can be painful but it works. There are some wart remedies available without a prescription. However, you might mistake another kind of skin growth for a wart, and end up treating something serious as though it were a wart. If you have any questions about either the diagnosis or the correct way to treat a wart, you should seek medical advice.

Pictures of Warts

Pictures of Warts - Determining If You Have A Wart

Warts are round, pale, harmless growths that affect the upper most layers of your skin. Warts are caused by a virus that can also be spread from one person to another. They can spread on different areas of your body. They are categorized according to the area of your body where they would occur. Common warts will appear on your hands, feet, knees, and face. Throughout this article I want to inform you all more about different types of warts so that you will know what to look for in case you are suspicious.

Flat warts which have flat tops, will appear on the wrists, arms, legs, and also your face. Plantar warts are found on the bottom of your feet, and will appear flattened by the pressure of the body.Genital warts are found on the genitals and do require you to get them treated by your physician as soon as possible. The one most important factor for a woman is to know that genital warts may increase the risk of cervical cancer.

Warts (with the exception of genital warts) do not require you to seek treatment by your physician unless they are causing you pain. Plantar warts, for example, may cause walking uncomfortable. When trying to treat your warts on your own it may help you to know you can use an over-the-counter wart remover that will contain salicylic acid. Make sure that you do not apply any wart removers to your skin that is healthy around the warts.

Most important wash your hands before and after you touch the warts so that you will prevent the warts to spread to other areas of your body. When going to a doctor you should have as much knowledge as possible about the warts you have. A physician can remove the warts with liquid nitrogen, corrosive agents, or even surgery. Genital warts may be treated by your physician with a drug called podophyllin.

All warts may recur because the virus will remain in your body indefinitely. To prevent the transmission of the genital warts, be safe and use a condom during sexual contact. Also you can try applying liberal amounts of vitamin E oil on the area that is affected (although some people are sensitive to it and should not put it on their skin). You may also want to try and take garlic-parsley tablets to relieve the warts.

Although warts can be an embarrassing sight do not let them go if they are causing you pain. Remember that embarrassment can go away but pain cannot without the proper treatment. I am stressing to woman who have genital warts, do not wait to get treated because of embarrassment. These are not like regular warts, they can be very dangerous if not treated. Cervical cancer is not to be treated lightly. These warts can have a very high risk for woman to get cervical cancer, so please get them treated immediately.Believe me your gynecologist has seen a lot worse in his life.

Warts Cure

Warts Cure - Wart Treatments That Work

Warts are harmless, non-cancerous skin tumors that can occur singly or in groups on any part of the body. The type of wart is named as per the region of their occurrence. Warts are caused by different strains of the fiendish papilloma virus. It conjures the body into providing it with room to flourish; this is known medically as the wart proper. Warts are non-malignant skin tumors that can appear on any part of the body.

It is named depending on the region of its occurrence. Seventy-five percent of the population encounters warts at least once in their lifetime. Plantar warts are the ones associated in the foot region. Most of the natural remedies for warts are associated with plantar warts. As a reminder, it must be ensured that the so called wart is not a corn, callus, mole, or cancerous lesion. If there is the slightest doubt about what it is, a doctor must be consulted. To help identify, warts are pale, skin-colored growths with a not so smooth surface.

Sometimes it has even borders and blackened surface blood vessels. Normal skin lines will not cross the warts surface. Warts are, however, very shallow growths and do not extend up to the bone. Most warts disappear on their own within two years. Children get rid of them faster. However warts are infectious and if left untreated, may increase in size or spread to other parts of the body. Normal medical wart treatments are associated with nasty-sounding destructive methods such as burning, freezing or destroying with laser.

These techniques are not necessarily effective. It is usually painful and may leave scars. Worse still; warts often reappear, no matter what treatment is used. Alternative medicines for warts, especially home remedies are therefore encouraged before heading for the doctor. Special precautions should be taken when attending to genital warts. One common home remedy is to buy vitamin A capsules and apply the oil directly to the affected area.

Fish oil or fish-liver oil capsules are the best source for Vitamin A. Fish or Fish liver oils capsules should be broken open and the oil massaged into the affected area once a day. The vitamin should not be taken orally; large doses of it can be toxic. A paste of Vitamin C tablets and water is one suggestible home remedy. The affected area should be bandaged after applying the paste so that it does not come off. The acidic property of the vitamin, particularly when in ascorbic acid form, affects the skin too. Therefore it is important ensure that the paste does not touch the skin.

Another popular home remedy is the onion method. In this method, a small onion piece is cut and kept dipped in vinegar overnight. In the morning, this onion piece should be placed over the wart and taped up tight. Another similar piece must be kept dipped in vinegar, ready for the next change. The onion should be changed at least once a day. Warts are bothersome, so do not let them irritate you any longer.
